Creative Learning Methods
We recognise that people learn in a variety of ways and seek to reflect this in the way we teach. Our goal is to equip you through a variety of different and creative approaches to learning:
Emmaus groups of 4-5 students of mixed academic abilities, background, age and experience meet weekly with their tutor.
Seminars are a small-group forum for presenting research on a topic of theological interest, encouraging the development of biblical thinking through discussion and debate.
Lectures are a vital means of learning for students, exposing them to a rich diversity of both topics and teachers.
Study Skills sessions take place at regular intervals throughout the College year to help you develop tools for learning.
Personal Reading is expected throughout the year with students being encouraged to explore further areas of particular personal interest.
Discussion is an ongoing characteristic of KBCTC, whether in formal groups, or with lecturers over coffee or sharing a good meal.
The Library is a vital resource in helping students to think theologically. Our expanding library now includes audio facilities and a growing catalogue of journals.
Written, Creative and Oral assignments are regular means of assessment aimed at helping students achieve their potential.
Please contact us if you would like more information on the detail of individual modules. (Modules are subject to change - please check with us if there is a particular module you are interested in).
