autumn

Beautiful clear blue skies and autumn leaves mark the change in season here in Oxford. The class of 09/10 have got off to a great start with our 'Transform' weekend where God powerfully spoke to us about seeing life in unexpected places this year. We've got some exciting things planned for the months ahead including a day conference next month, 'Encounter' tour and 'Think, live, make sense of God at Uni week'.

May God bless you in the season you find yourself in. We now pray for Alumni each week during 'Chapel' so do keep in touch with your news.

God and Darwinian Evolution Conference

God and Darwinian Evolution

Day Conference13 NOVEMBER 2009

bottom

Jointly sponsored by Paternoster and the King's Bible College and Training Centre, Oxford

Has Darwin 'killed' God?

Is Christian belief compatible with Darwinian evolution or not?

How do science and faith relate to each other?

Have you seen the new Creation film? November 2009 sees the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's hugely influential book; On The Origin of Species. Since its publication Christians have differed regarding whether and how Darwinian evolution is compatible with Christian faith. This day conference brings together Christians of a range of views (including 6-Day Creationism) who understand the scientific, biblical and theological issues surrounding the origins of the world with the aim of helping participants engage in discussion on this subject with a greater degree of informed biblical understanding:
