Testimonials
"I’m thrilled to hear about all that’s going on at the King’s Bible College and Training Centre in Oxford. If we are going to be authentic and indeed properly biblical, we need to take time to consider the biblical story within which we are privileged to be participants today"
N. T. Wright, Bishop of Durham
"I ask that you would prayerfully consider King's Bible College and Training Centre as part of your preparation for your place in God's plan to reach the nations"
Barney Coombs, President and Founder of Salt and Light Ministries
"It is essential that we study God's Word so that we understand how it applies to everyday life. It is also vital that we develop skills in handling it, preaching it and building our lives upon it. This is why the combination of theology and practical training at King's is so powerful. Coming from around the world, our lecturers bring rich input theologically and diverse experience practically through being actively involved in church-based ministry. I highly commend them to you."
Steve Thomas, Leader of the European Apostolic Team of Salt and Light Ministries
"World Horizons is delighted to lend its support to KBCTC. Having worked closely with them over five years, we know their real heart for preparing people of all ages for God's work. We have seen the real impact a year spent in the college has made on their students. They are taught how to handle God’s Word in practical ways that has real impact on their character, life and ministry. They are encouraged to explore beyond their previous limits into a new vision for how God can use them, in their own countries and beyond, in the future."
Graham Davies, Team Leader, World Horizons
"This year has exceeded my expectations tenfold! To meet God in such a profound way, as one of a committed, close and inspiring community really has changed my life. I’ve learned how to be a true ‘learner’ and this is something that I hope I’ll never stop! God’s Word is rich, deep, intricate and profound. As I’ve studied it this year I’ve come to love it massively and now have a passion to inspire and teach others."
Lizzie Green, Derby, 2004/05
What do the Bible and the BlackBerry have in common? Before coming to KBCTC my work-life balance was wrong, the course offered me an opportunity to gain perspective and restore the right balance, through time away from the workplace and a better understanding of the theology of work and rest. My return to the job I left has been a challenge because the person who left for Bible College is radically different from the one who returned. My colleagues have seen the difference, which has offered the chance for a fresh start and fresh opportunities to share Christ. I have been left with a more vibrant and dynamic faith which wants to see what I know of God put into action throughout the whole of life.
Paul Meathrel, Chipping Norton, 2006/07
I came to KBCTC seeking to know God more and to figure out why I had chosen to study Medicine. The year posed many questions and challenges. For the first time I’ve thought seriously about Medicine from a Christian perspective, and as a result I have a motivation for it which I’ve never had before.
Stephen McWilliam, London, 2002/03
Our year at KBCTC was a journey of discovery that enabled us to know God rather than just know about Him. It was an environment that challenged our insecurities and broke down barriers, as well as uncovering our strengths and building character.
Frank and Pauline Levey, Teesside, 2003/04
I have been challenged in the way I think about God, about myself and about others. This year I have been stretched and shaped and built up more than I could ever have imagined.
Maarja Allikas, Estonia, 2004/05
Before I went to KBCTC, my view of the Kingdom of God was very limited. I gave up a very good job as a Hospital Pharmacist to go to Bible College thinking I had laid down my career in order to pursue God and who knows, maybe to go on Mission to another country! But, as always, God had other plans! The more I learnt about our amazing God, the more I realised how much He cared about every aspect of life, and that the Workplace is also important to Him. Through lectures, seminars, tutorials and in particular, the ‘Transforming Culture’ course, my limited view of life expanded as God unveiled my eyes to the never ending possibilities of bringing His light and life into the very place that I had laid down and disregarded.
Jazz Dhamrait, Derby, 2006/07
This year God has revealed himself through Scripture, testimony, worship and community. I’ve fallen in love with the untameable, indescribable God of creation. I’m spoiled for good and I want nothing more than to live a life surrendered to his purposes.
Jess Elliott, Derby, 2005/06
For the first time in my life I have experienced the richness and value of living in a united, authentic, loving community
Melanie Naidoo, South Africa, 2005/06
God has done so much more during this year than I ever thought possible. My view of God has expanded beyond my imagination. This has been a year of transformation in the way I think and live and a strengthening of my relationship with God.
Danna Kragt, Canada, 2005/06
